About Us

The Care Navigators are your first point of contact for all your care needs and are available seven days a week. One of our Care Navigators will assess your or your loved one’s current needs, help you navigate the healthcare maze, and coordinate a care team and services for you if required.

Our care team includes physicians, pharmacists, nurses, caregivers, and care aides. Whether you or your family member needs a little assistance at home, help accessing and managing their medications, personal care, or more specialized in-home care such as tube feeding, catheter care, or palliative care, our care team is there for you.

  • Director of Care

Estelle has been an RN for over 2 decades and has spent the last 12 years in the community focusing on seniors care.

Stepping into the role of director at Island View Place Care has given her the opportunity to help provide boutique, personalized care to the residents. Inheriting a fantastic care team helped transition into her role and she has introduced many improvements to the facility and the team in a very short time!

Estelle and her team look forward to welcoming you to their lovely facility!

  • Community Supervisor

I was born and raised in Ontario. I obtained my nursing degree with honours at Brock University in Ontario in 2019. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings as an RN such as respirology, palliative and long term care. I really enjoy helping people experience their highest quality of life for as long as possible, that is why I became a nurse! I moved here to Vancouver Island in May 2021 and have been loving it ever since. In my spare time you can find me watching or playing sports and exploring the island as much as I can.

  • Operations Specialist

I was born and raised on the Saanich Peninsula and graduated from Parkland Secondary School. I have a 16-year-old son and enjoy hiking and exploring this beautiful province. I have an educational background in finance and criminal justice. I absolutely love my job and helping people in their life journeys.

  • Raissa is an internationally trained nurse and graduated from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. Through her career, she has been an ER nurse as well as a transplant coordinator. She migrated to Canada in 2016 with her two sons and has been working in the healthcare field in the community. She loves reading and spending quality time with her boys. Raissa’s passion is caring for other people and helping them live the best life they can live.

  • Dr. Waterman grew up on Protection Island, off of Nanaimo BC, and went east to Queen’s University for Medical School. It was in residency when he discovered an interest in complex medical problems that are typically seen in more elderly patients. Now he has a family practice in Victoria that focuses exclusively on complex and difficult medical cases. He is thrilled to be involved in a comprehensive, multidisciplinary project that promises to provide unparalleled care in Victoria BC.
