Professional Companion Care

Professional Companion Care differs from Personal Care Aide support.

Personal Care Aides help with bathing, dressing and medication management whereas Companion Care focuses on a mix of emotional support, accompanying socialization and assistance with daily tasks.

Professional Companions can help with a wide variety of tasks such as:

  • Grocery shopping and errands

  • Basic housekeeping

  • Household tasks such as laundry, dishes and dusting

  • Transportation to and from activities or appointments

  • Cooking or preparing meals

  • Entertainment and social activities

  • Communication with family, friends and other health care professionals

Having Professional Companionship can be one of the most important parts of a person's daily routine and can reduce the risks of loneliness and isolation. Companionship can provide a safe place to have a listening ear, play cards or board games, take a walk outside or get out of the house on a scenic drive. Companion Care can help disabled adults or the elderly with basic to complex mobility and staying active daily while engaging in friendly conversation
