Having Personal Care Support is ideal for those needing help with more intimate care needs. Personal Care Support workers also assist with everyday household tasks too.
Personal Care Support tasks can include those covered in the Professional Companionship as well as the following:
Oral Hygiene Dressing and assistance with clothing
Applying personal products, lotions or creams
Showering and Bathing Maintaining catheter bags
Assisting with toileting
Replacing continence pads, cleaning those areas
Personal Care Supports get to know the client to gain a better understanding of their personality, routine, likes and dislikes. Each client needs a "good match" with their caregivers, and we take the time through our initial and ongoing assessment process to ensure this. Personal Caregivers work with you to plan out how each task should be handled and performed. Personal Caregivers ensure that the client is at maximum comfort when tasks are completed.
